Welcome To The Pendle Medical Partnership
Flu Vaccinations
We are keen to let you know about our plans to vaccinate patients against flu this Autumn. Due to the coronavirus outbreak we are expecting a record number of patients to attend.
To maintain social distancing, patients will be invited to attend at 10 minute intervals. Please make sure you attend on time. Please try not to arrive too early or too late.
Please don’t attend if you are feeling unwell e.g. with COVID symptoms of high temperature, a cough and a loss of taste and smell.
Staff will be available both inside and outside the Surgery to signpost and provide information for patients. Please wear your face covering and please wear outdoor clothing suitable for the conditions. Hand gel will be available for patients to use as they enter and leave the Surgery.
Doctors and nurses will be based in consulting rooms near the entrance. Patients will be shown to the nearest available room. Please be prepared to remove outdoor clothing ready for your vaccination. Once you have received your vaccination, you will be shown to the exit. We would only expect patients to be in the building for a few minutes.
Unless patients have been identified as being in one of the ‘at risk’ groups due to a medical condition such as diabetes or asthma, please note that people in the 50-64 year-old age group will not be vaccinated until November and December, providing there is sufficient vaccine and no appointments will be offered for this age group until nearer the time. This is to ensure that those who are most at risk are vaccinated first.
Please let our Reception team know if you have any questions on 01282 731370.
We look forward to seeing you shortly and vaccinating you against flu.
