We are aware of the difficulties that some of our patients are experiencing in getting through to the Practice on the telephone.
We sincerely apologise for this, but unfortunately this is outside our control and is affecting many GP Practices across Lancashire. Our IT/telephone supplier, NHS Midlands and Lancashire CSU, is working hard to try and resolve this as quickly as possible.
Due to the sheer volume of calls coming into the Practice our phone lines are likely to be most affected during peak periods, for example Monday mornings, when our phones tend to be at their busiest. The CSU are in the process of changing over to a new system which has additional capacity but this will take some time. It is hoped that this work will be completed in early June.
Please bear with us until this is sorted out. Our Receptionists are finding this really hard too, and we have no way at all of sorting the problem out locally. We too are hoping that work on the new system will be completed as quickly as possible.
We will try and keep you up-dated as we know more. Thank you for your patience.
